The sun is shining and summer is in full swing! Many of us will be enjoying a Barbeque or two this time of year which means using more energy.
Coventry
Warmer Homes West Midlands working in partnership with Coventry City Council and the West Midlands Combined Authority have obtained funding through the national Sustainable Warmth Competition to improve the energy efficiency of low-income households and low EPC rated homes, including those living in the lowest quality off-gas grid homes across their district.
Possible measures available to eligible residents could include:
- External wall insulation
- Cavity wall insulation
- Underfloor insulation
- Loft insulation
- Draught proofing
- Air source heat pumps
- Solar PV
- Double glazing
- Ventilation
Some residents in specific areas may be postcode eligible, you will be notified of this if this is the case. Please see the map below which indicates the area:
Coventry City Council residents outside of these postcode areas may still be eligible if you fulfil the following criteria:
- The household income must be below £31,0000 per annum,
- The property must have an EPC of D or below.
Please note that priority is given to households with the lowest energy efficiency band (an EPC rating E, F, or G) and there are limited spaces for EPC D properties.
